Technical Alert: Risk of data loss in OpenText™ Content Server CE 21.2 and 21.4 to 22.4 with Pulse enabled

In Content Server CE 21.2 and CE 21.4 to 22.4 with Pulse enabled, when Pulse data is purged from the database using the Purge Pulse Data function, the documents associated with the Pulse data are being deleted as well.

The Purge Pulse Data function was generally available with the Content Server CE 21.4 release. However, Content Server CE 21.2 customers with patch pat162004150 installed may also be affected.

Current Solution

It is recommended for customers to stop using the Purge Pulse Data function immediately until the hotfix is applied. OpenText is actively working on a hotfix for Content Server CE 21.2 and 21.4 to 22.4.
